About BIKEGG

We are a US-based retailer of electric tricycles for adults. We do not manufacture our products. We source them, test them, and stand behind them — so you don't have to figure out which ones are actually worth buying.

Our catalog is small on purpose. Every model we carry has been reviewed for safety documentation, real-world usability, and supplier reliability. If we wouldn't recommend it to a family member, it doesn't go on the site.

Why We Started BIKEGG

It started with a simple observation: a lot of people genuinely needed a stable, easy-to-ride electric trike — and couldn't find one they could trust.

Adults in their 60s and 70s who had given up cycling because balancing got harder. People recovering from knee or hip surgery who still wanted to get outside on their own. Retired couples who wanted to explore a campground without borrowing someone's golf cart. Parents who needed a practical way to run errands without starting the car for every short trip.

The trikes existed. But the market was full of listings with vague specs, no safety documentation, and no real support if something went wrong after delivery.

That gap is what BIKEGG was built to fill.

Who We Serve

Most of our customers are not competitive cyclists. They are people who want to stay active, stay independent, and stay connected to the places and routines that matter to them.

Here is who we hear from most often:

  • Adults over 60 who love being outdoors but find a two-wheel bike too risky. Three wheels stay upright on their own — no balancing at stops, no putting a foot down. For many riders, this is the difference between getting outside and staying home.
  • People with mobility limitations looking for something more flexible than a scooter and more stable than a standard ebike. Riders managing joint pain, recovering from surgery, or dealing with balance conditions have found that a low step-through electric trike gives them back a kind of freedom they thought they had lost.
  • RV and camping travelers who park the rig and want a practical way to explore. A folding trike fits in a truck bed or large cargo van, handles campground roads comfortably, and makes trips to the camp store or lake far more enjoyable than walking.
  • Neighborhood errand riders who want to cover the short distances — pharmacy, post office, farmers market — without burning gas or fighting for parking. A rear basket handles a full grocery run. The trike handles the rest.

How We Choose What We Carry

We are a retailer, not a manufacturer. That means our job is selection and accountability — making sure what we put in front of you is actually worth your money and your trust.

Before any model goes live on our site, we require from our suppliers:

  • Safety certification documentation — UL 2849 for e-bike electrical systems and UL 2272 where applicable, the recognized standard across US retailers and regulators
  • Complete product specifications — motor output, battery capacity, real-world range estimates, weight limits, and max speed clearly stated
  • Verifiable warranty support — so that if something fails, we can actually back it up

If a supplier cannot provide that documentation, the product does not go on the site. That is the whole policy.

What Riding a Trike Actually Feels Like

If you have not ridden a trike before, the first thing most people notice is the stillness. You stop pedaling, and the trike just sits there. No wobble. No reaching for the ground with your foot. It stays put.

The second thing people notice is how quickly they relax.

That is what we hear from customers again and again — on Reddit threads, in emails to our support team, in reviews. Not that the motor is powerful or the range is impressive. That they felt calm. That they went further than they expected. That they came home and told someone about it.

One rider told us she had not been on anything with wheels in four years after a fall. She rode three miles on her first day out. That kind of story is why we do this.

What We Are Honest About

Electric trikes are not the right choice for everyone, and we would rather tell you that upfront than have you return a product that was never right for your situation.

  • Our trikes are built for flat to moderately hilly terrain. Steep driveways and extended climbs will drain the battery faster and require lower gearing.
  • Most models weigh between 65 and 90 lbs. Loading one into a vehicle usually takes two people or a ramp.
  • Range estimates on the listing pages reflect flat terrain with a lighter rider at moderate assist. Your real-world range will vary based on hills, wind, load, and how much throttle you use.
  • These are Class 2 ebikes, with a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph. They are designed for bike paths, neighborhood streets, and campground roads — not highway shoulders or technical trails.

We think being clear about limitations is part of what good retail looks like. You should know exactly what you are buying before it arrives at your door.

Our Responsibility to You

When you buy from BIKEGG, you are buying from a US-registered company with a real support email and a real response commitment. We handle customer support directly. If something arrives damaged, does not perform as described, or needs a warranty claim, you are dealing with us — not routed through a third-party call center.

We respond to support emails within 1 to 2 business days. We do not disappear after the sale.
