Warranty Information

At BIKEGG, we stand behind every product we carry. We only list products from suppliers whose documentation and certifications meet our standards — and we back every purchase with a clear, enforceable warranty so you know exactly what you are covered for.

We also believe in a practical approach to warranty service: in most cases, we resolve issues by shipping you a replacement part directly. No waiting for a repair shop. No shipping your whole trike back. Just swap the component and get back to riding.

1. Warranty Coverage

All electric tricycles sold on bikegg.com come with a 1-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, starting from the date of delivery.

Covered components:

  • Frame and fork
  • Motor and controller
  • Battery (manufacturing defects only — see exclusions below)
  • LCD display and throttle
  • Charger and wiring harness

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase — your order number or confirmation email — is required for all warranty claims.

2. What Is Not Covered

The following are not covered under this warranty:

  • Normal wear and tear — tires, brake pads, brake cables, grips, chains, and other consumable parts
  • Damage from accidents, collisions, misuse, or neglect
  • Damage caused by riding in conditions beyond the product's rated specifications
  • Water damage from submersion or extended exposure to heavy rain
  • Battery capacity degradation from normal use over time — covered only for defects, not gradual capacity loss
  • Damage resulting from unauthorized modifications, third-party parts, or repairs not authorized by BIKEGG
  • Cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, or paint chips that do not affect function
  • Damage caused by improper assembly where the printed instructions were not followed

If you are unsure whether your issue is covered, email us before assuming it is not — we will give you a straight answer.

3. How We Handle Warranty Issues — Modular Replacement

We resolve most warranty issues by shipping you a replacement component directly. This approach works well for our customers because:

  • Professional bike repair labor in the US is expensive — often more than the part itself
  • Most of our components are plug-and-swap modular parts — no specialized tools required
  • Many of our customers are comfortable with basic DIY tasks and can follow a video guide
  • You get back on the road faster than waiting for a shop appointment or a round-trip shipping process

Here is how we handle the most common issues:

  • Controller failure — we ship a replacement controller. Swap is typically plug-and-play with matching connectors.
  • Display or throttle failure — we ship a replacement display or throttle unit. Connector-based swap, no soldering required.
  • Battery issue (defect, not capacity degradation) — we arrange a full battery replacement.
  • Motor issue — we ship a replacement hub motor. Installation video guidance provided.
  • Charger failure — we ship a replacement charger.
  • Frame defect — assessed case by case. Contact us with photos for evaluation.

If the issue is more complex or you are not comfortable with the swap yourself, contact us and we will arrange a technical video support session — a member of our support team will walk you through the repair step by step via video. No charge for warranty-related technical guidance.

4. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

Contact us first — do not return the product without prior authorization. Unauthorized returns cannot be processed.

Email us at support@bikegg.com with the subject line: Warranty Claim — Order [your order number]

Please include in your email:

  • Your order number and delivery date
  • A clear description of the issue — what is happening, when it started, and under what conditions
  • Photos or a short video showing the problem — this is the single most helpful thing you can send us

Our support team will respond within 3 to 5 business days with a diagnosis and next steps. In most cases, we will confirm the issue from your photos and ship a replacement part without requiring you to return the trike.

5. Resolution Options

If a defect is confirmed under warranty, BIKEGG will, at its discretion:

  • Ship a replacement part at no cost to you, or
  • Arrange replacement of the defective unit if the issue cannot be resolved with a part

Replacement parts may be new or equivalent-condition refurbished components. Shipping for warranty replacements within the United States is covered by BIKEGG during the warranty period.

6. Limitation of Liability

This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective components as described above. MODA CHIC LLC is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from product defects or the use of our products.

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or consequential damages — in those states, the above limitations may not apply to you.

7. After Your Warranty Period

Our support does not stop at one year. After your warranty expires, we continue to offer:

  • Replacement parts at cost, subject to availability
  • Technical guidance and video support via email
  • Advice on compatible third-party components where applicable

Electric tricycles are built to last well beyond a single year with basic care. We want to help you keep yours running well for as long as possible — warranty or not.
